TERRELL MARSHALL’s CONTINUED STAND AGAINST RACISM & POLICE BRUTALITY

September 03, 2020

Sunday August 23, Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back by police officers in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Mr. Blake’s three young children witnessed the shooting. Mr. Blake is alive, but he remains paralyzed from the waist down. Many other Black people—such as George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and Elijah McClain—have not survived their encounters with law enforcement or white supremacy in this country. As media coverage has shifted away from ongoing protests in support of Black lives, it’s apparent we must keep fighting.

Terrell Marshall condemns the shooting of Jacob Blake. We remain committed to using our platform to advocate for and make changes that benefit Black lives. To that end, we are continuing to implement new policies at our firm and discuss ways in which we can further address institutional and systemic racism in the legal field. And we will continue to speak out against police brutality and the unjustified use of force against Black lives.
